Polysaccharides, recognized as pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) by pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) in PAMP-PRR interaction, offer potential for immune regulation but face challenges due to low immunogenicity in immunoadjuvant applications. Prior study introduced core hollow mannan nanocapsule to enhance polysaccharide immunogenicity via multivalent PAMP-PRR interaction. This study aims to evaluate various polysaccharides immunogenicity by recognizing specific PRR on dendritic cell, using chemical modifications like oxidation, reduction, sulfation, phosphorylation, and carboxymethylation to increase complexity. We aim to compile a library facilitating immunomodulation and anticancer effects in cancer therapy, utilizing phosphorylation for antiviral effects in infectious diseases. This compiled library holds potential for precisely modulating immune responses across diseases including autoimmunity, gut microbiome modulation, inflammation, and infectious diseases. |
